She is a pink papered, black 16.2hh Trakehner mare and is 8 years old. She is eligible for and would easily grade with the Oldenburg Verband or the Hanoverian Verband. She has produced two outstanding foals in Germany and Sovereign is her third. She has an old scar on her back leg which does not affect her soundness. Her sire Elite Stallion Buddenbrock is a sensational stallion. He was Premium graded in Neumünster 1996. He has over 10 graded sons including 3 Champion stallions - an amazing feat as many of his graded sons have gone on to sire graded sons also. In 2000 from his first crop of foals he produced 3 graded sons including the Premium & Champion Stallion King Arthur who was purchased for 350,000 Euro's by Petra Wilm a member of Germany's B Squad Dressage and President of the Trakehner Verband. He went on to produce the 2003 Premium and Champion stallion In Flagranti and Premium stallion Armano, Ippon in 2004 and Glenn Grant in 2007. He is used extensively in the Hanoverian Studbook as a refiner. He has numerous Premium and State Premium daughters including Saturday Night Fever!
Buddenbrock's sire Elite Stallion Sixtus was "stallion of the year" in Neumünster. Sixtus was an international show jumper before he was retired at stud and has become one of the world's most popular Trakehner stallions.
Saturday Night Fever's dam Salome brings the all important refining thoroughbred blood to the pedigree through the stallion Langata Express. Langata Express has proven himself to be a very valuable dam sire. The 2004 World Championships' bronze medallist Amidou, ridden by Dr. Ulf Möller, was by Alcatraz out of a Langata Express xx dam. Salome was one of the best graded mares in 1994 receiving 9's for walk, trot and over all impression. Salome is one of the few graded thoroughbred daughters to be accepted into the Trakehner Stud book and was included in the G. P. -program of the Verband. Salome's dam has been awarded the Elite title.
